The Founding Director of the HIGH Program and First Lady of Wayne State University, Mrs. Jacqueline Wilson, will be leading her program's staff in distributing lunches to homeless individuals and families at Cass Community Social Services located at 11745 Rosa Parks Boulevard Detroit, MI 48206 on Friday, November 18th from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The HIGH Program staff consists of volunteers, interns, and work study students who are all dedicated towards bettering the lives of students in their community.
Wayne State University's First Lady, Jacqueline Wilson, established the HIGH (Helping Individuals Go Higher) Program to ensure that students do not have to choose between financing basic necessities and earning a degree. The Program provides resources for students-in-need, such as housing support, textbook and other school suppliers, clothing, transportation, and child-care assistance.
