Shop to Support the HIGH Program

Sometimes, we struggle to find ways to give back to our community — for example, we might not have extra money to contribute or time to volunteer. But what if you could give back by doing your shopping as usual, with no extra cost to you? Chances are, you've ordered from Amazon at some point in your life. With items ranging from books to groceries to clothing and everything in between, there's a reason that they're one of the biggest companies in the world. And if you're from here in Michigan, you've probably shopped at Kroger, too (that is, if you don't buy all your groceries there).

The HIGH Program has partnered with two different company programs that help shoppers give back to their community just by shopping like normal — Amazon Smile and Kroger Community Rewards. Both programs only require a quick one-and-done setup, meaning that once you've registered to have part of your purchases benefit the HIGH Program, you won't need to remember to do it again! Signing up is simple and only takes a few minutes of your time. Interested? Here's how to enroll:

To sign up for Amazon Smile:

  1. Head over to smile.amazon.com
  2. Sign into your existing Amazon account or create a new account
  3. Select "Wayne State University" as your non-profit of choice
  4. You're all set — use the smile.amazon.com link to shop like normal, and 0.5% of all eligible purchases will benefit the HIGH Program!

To sign up for Kroger Community Rewards:

  1. Head over to kroger.com
  2. Click on "Savings and Rewards"
  3. Select "Kroger Community Rewards"
  4. Sign in with your Kroger account
  5. Search for "HIGH Program" or FG 546
  6. That's it! Every time you shop with your Kroger Plus card, you'll help earn rewards for the HIGH Program!
These programs help make a tangible difference, too. Recently, Kroger Community Rewards sent us a check for $31.93 — enough to purchase groceries for a student in need. Take a second to sign up today and help us help individuals go HIGHer!
