Chartreus is located on the corner of Woodward & Kirby in beautiful Midtown Detroit, just north of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Set in the renovated Rodin restaurant space in the Park Shelton building, Chartreuse feels clean, airy and open with oversized windows, high ceilings and chartreuse-colored walls. Executive chef Doug Hewitt, chose the name because chartreuse — a complex liqueur dating back hundreds of years — is one of his favorite spi...rits, making the color an obvious decorative choice.
The restaurant’s opening hours are Tuesdays-Thursdays 11:30-2, 5-9:30, Fridays: 11:30-2, 5-10:30 and Saturdays: 5-10:30. You can make a reservation by calling 313-818-3915 or going online.
The restaurant offers cold starters, vegetable dishes and entrées, all of them are very interesting and distinctive. The flavors, textures and colors are simply delightful. The restaurant uses the freshest possible ingredients which is restocked every morning and sometimes again at midday
