How to Help Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, the world watched in horror as Russia invaded the neighboring country of Ukraine. Since the attacks began, over 3 million Ukrainians have fled their homes, and tens of thousands have been killed (Ukraine Refugee Situation, 2022). Most of the refugees have fled to the surrounding countries of Poland, Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Hungary. Moreover, the number of people remaining in Ukraine without access to electricity and gas supplies is increasing, with an estimated 960,000 families without electricity and 264,000 families without gas (Situation Ukraine Refugee Situation, 2022). Humanitarian efforts are of the utmost importance in Ukraine and surrounding countries.           But how do we help Ukraine? Care Bags for the Homeless

HELPING HOMELESS PEOPLE One care-bag at a time I know it is something we have all thought when someone who is homeless asks for money, "what are they really going to use my money for?" This is normal, and most people will have this thought at least once or twice in their lifetime, but this should not discourage you from helping people in need. Instead of just giving money, try creating care bags for the homeless. Care bags are a way to help people who are in need, and know exactly where your help is going. So what is inside of a care bag? There is an endless amount of things you could put into a care bad, but it is important to remember to put the essentials in a care bag for a homeless person.
